60 Years of Tonbridge Angels Football Club
Over the summer the first seeds were planted for the idea of a book to commemorate the Club's 60th Anniversary in 2008. The ambitious project is being started well in advance of the milestone in order to ensure that the book will be available for purchase from the club by the start of the 2008/09 season.
Having investigated similar projects at other clubs I can say that the potential in this idea is huge and any help you can give to the project will be most welcomed. So far I have received a hefty contribution of programmes from two sources which have helped immensely at these early stages.
I continue to appeal for as much TAFC memorabilia as is possible, such as TAFC programmes, articles, photos, press cuttings or anything else, if you have anything that will be of use PLEASE let me know!
The initial stage of the project is to attempt to complete the all-time stats for TAFC since 1948 (result, scorers, recorded attendance and team line-up), if you can help with any amount of information, small or large, particularly pre-1994/95 season then do not hesitate to get in contact.
The majority of the book will be a season-by-season review of the club's history along with supporters and players' "memorable moments" from each season, if you are interested in writing a 100-200 word account of a "memorable moment" then please let me know.
Another idea is to have 20 profiles of "Tonbridge Legends" included in the book. You can nominate your choice(s) to be included in this section here.
