The Angels kick-off their pre-season campaign at home to Sutton United of the Conference South...

The two sides have only met once before, just 8 years ago, when they faced each other in The FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round. This was quite a one-sided affair as The U’s ran out comfortable victors 5-1. Last season, Sutton were members of The Conference South and finished a very respectable 15th position. They crashed out of The FA Cup at the hands of Bromley in the 3rd Qualifying Round after disposing of Eastbourne Borough 4-3 in the previous round. The decent run in The FA Trophy led them to 4th Round after eliminating Hampton & Richmond and Welling. They were beaten by eventual winners Grays Athletic. They also fared very well in The GLS Cup, where they lost to Woking in the quarter-finals and The Surrey Senior Cup, where they were beaten by AFC Wimbledon at the semi-final stage.
