| Friday, 13 January, 2006: Club confirms: Luke Piscina stays |
Great news from Longmead today in that Luke Piscina has agreed to stay with Tonbridge Angels. In a statement on the Angels Online Forum, Club Secretary Charlie Cole wrote:
"It is with great pleasure that I am able to inform you the Luke Piscina will be staying with the club. He will re-commence training next week, after taking a short break from football."
The news will come as a relief to many fans, particularly after such a long period of doubt over the young star's future at Longmead. More good news as well today with Danny Glozier likely to sign his month's loan extension before tomorrow's crucial game with Banstead Athletic. His club Gravesend have agreed to the extension although will be able to call back the left-back at a day's notice at any time during the spell. With Jon Heath set to travel to Australia for three months at the end of January, the signing could not come at a better time.

Congratulations to Tony Dolby and the players after Dolby collected the Manager of the Month award for the second time this season. Five wins out of five in Division One secured Dobla's award. There was a second award for the Club as well with the Angels winning the Safe Hands Award for December, with just the two goals conceded in five matches.
Meanwhile Dean Neil made his debut for the Angels yesterday, after signing for the Club at the eleventh hour. Neil counts Redbridge, East Thurrock United, Harlow Town and Dagenham & Redbridge among his former clubs and is deputising in goal for the injured Jerome John.

| Monday 2 January, 2006: Razor rams home equaliser at Gate |
An exciting game at Southwood Road today ended in a draw with the promotion-chasing Kent rivals sharing six goals. Nick Barnes and Jay May had put the Angels ahead twice in the first half but after going 3-2 down Ray Powell was on hand to fire a 73rd minute equaliser. With fellow promotion challengers Horsham and Tooting both drawing there's no change at the top, but there was a shock for sixth-placed Dover Athletic who lost at lowly Ashford Town 3-2.
Match report will appear tomorrow.
