| Monday, 12 September, 2005: Angels snatch Hastings draw, Replay tomorrow night |
Tonbridge left it until the 95th minute to grab the equaliser in an entertaining FA Cup tie at Hastings United. Danny Lye and Leroy Huggins (above) had given the Angels 1-0 and 2-1 leads before a coasting Tonbridge side were caught on the hop with two late goals to seemingly send them out of the competition. However Ray Powell capped a marvellous individual performance by grabbing the equaliser to force a replay at Longmead Stadium tomorrow night.

The draw for the 2nd Qualifying Round was made this morning and the winners tomorrow night will go on to face Fisher Athletic away. Fisher are of course currently groundsharing at Dulwich Hamlet's Champion Hill ground at which the Angels enjoyed perhaps their best performance of the season so far against Dulwich a week ago. Should we defeat Hastings tomorrow night this game will be played on Saturday, 24 September, however if Dulwich lose their own FA Cup replay this week their home league game on that date will take priority. In that event the Fisher Athletic v Hastings/Tonbridge tie will be played on Sunday, 25 September.
