Club Secretary

« on: Tuesday, 19 May, 2009, 15:18.09 »

This statement is to inform you that with immediate effect I have resigned from my position as Chairman of Tonbridge Angels Football Club. Since Garry Pass’ decision to step down I have had time to consider my position within the club. For the past four years this club has been my priority having taken over when the “chips were down”. It has been to the detriment of my family life and my health and the time has come to put my family and myself first. My reasons for the decision are private and will remain so and I can assure you that the decision was not taken lightly. I am going to take a long break from the game and will not be involved at any level other than to watch the odd game of my own choice. I would like to thank all of you who have supported me during my time at Angels and hope that you all agree that we have moved so far forward during these past few years. No one person is bigger than this club and it will continue to go forward. With the continuing progress of the club in mind Steve Churcher has been appointed chairman, backed by a board of directors of Maurice Brown, Chris Drew and Colin Fry. I am also delighted to confirm that Tommy Warrilow will remain as First Team Manager.

An open meeting will be held on Tuesday 26th May, 2009 at 7.30 p.m, with a 7.45 p.m start in the Longmead Lounge, for all supporters.

Kind regards
Nick Sullivan

What the hell is going on? This meeting could be very very interesting indeed!

May I be the first to thank Nick on what a grand job he has done for this club, we could only have dreamed of moving this far forward when he first took over.

As soon as Gary went, it was all too much for Nick I guess.
He has his reasons, though the timing isn't great.

Thanks for your considerable time and effort Nick.  Your reasons are right for you and that's all that matters.
Good luck in the future.

As for TAFC, well, there isn't a lot of good Kent football news around today is there !  Difficult times ahead but then we've been there before and we have a ground and are not in administration so it's not all gloomy.  Besides TW staying means he still believes, so should we  Afro

Thanks for everything Nick.
A shame, but Kent football is very gloomy at the moment unless you are French

Not good news at all. I would like to also offer my thanks to Mr Sullivan. Be interesting times for the club now, he and his Board have worked so hard for this club. Health comes first so I respect his decision. I am pleased Tommy is staying.
