Atmosphere

i was at the game saturday and thought the atmosphere was rather bland, the previous games i had been to we were really loud and behind the team, i think a special mention should go to the man whos always shouting whether its 'hey ho' or 'comon angels' as he was always positive.

His name is Alan, he has been supporting the Angels since the fifties I believe. I personally remember him first at the Angel ground in the late sixties. On the subject of the atmosphere on saturday. It was strangely muted. Three factors that may have contributed to this; It was FA Trophy match and with the focus so heavily on the league at the moment maybe a number of people who often join in couldnt be bothered, leaving it to the normal eight to ten to try and create 'atmosphere' Also the strangely hot weather may had people thinking they were watching the wrong sport Finally and perhaps most peculiarly, kicking towards the south stand in the first half often dampens the atmosphere, for some reason there is always more vocal support if we are kicking towards the ' Bog' end second half

"Wing it, swing it"
Never did get that!
He is indeed a legend though! If slightly barmy!
