Unfair competition?

We now have Newcastle United subsidised by the British taxpayer & Manchester United subsidised by the US taxpayer.

The rules are clear that clubs can only receive funding from central governments if it is part of a scheme that is open to all their competitors, this is not the case with MUFC or NUFC. Surely both clubs should be thrown out of all competitions and abolished forthwith.

I am reliably informed by a Newcastle-supporting friend (poor chap!) that they are not subsidised by the British taxpayer, as they ensured all sponsorship was paid in advance.

More than happy to see Manchester United thrown out and abolished, for any reason!  Grin
