I'm a bit unsure how the Olympics is not part of the International Calender for the under 23 players. However, no I don't think it's the end, unless this is going to set a precedent..even then I still think that international games including the Olympics will be exciting as it will be an opportunity to see rising stars, rather than those who are overpaid (and probably overrated).

It is a shame that footballers who genuinely want to play for their country are denied by their employers. Shame, feel sorry for the lad.

It could signal the beginning of the end for international friendlies.  the top clubs are always looking to keep their players out of them and this ruling will make it much easier for them to object.
