Training / View on triallists
« on: Wednesday, 09 July, 2008, 11:17.28 »

Firstly, TAFCTV will be filming training saturday and doing some interviews as its the first session that will involve some matchplay, previous sessions have in the majority been fitness training.

Went to training last night and there was still about 6/7 triallists. So thought id give my view on them as no-one would have seen them. Even though its quite hard to say at the moment as theyve only done fitness and keep ball.

1) Luke Piscina - Still looked extremely fit and showed some quality touches in the keep ball.

2) Matt Foreman - Big and strong for his age, very fit from his time at brighton, got really involved in the keep ball unlike some others who seemed to drift to the edges of the pitch and not have to many touches.

3) Dan Summons - Broke his thumb last week so has not been doing any keeper training with Worgan, Grant and the keeping coach.

4) Parkinson - The guy from VCD, tall and quite similar to Rooky, looked ok but nothing special but again hard to tell at the moment until Saturday when they start doing more football based training.

5 & 6) Two lads from Crowborough, one looked ok, the other didnt seem to interested.

7) A full back from a Conference South club, who im not going to name as dont really think this one should be made public as it seems to be quite a promising one. Looked very fit, and after looking into stats he was always in the teams squad last season and started his fair share.

Final comment on what i've seen so far.... Leon Legge is one big *******! Makes Kinchy seem small and was built like a wall.

have you ever played with one of those blokes who could do 500 keepy uppies , catch it on the back of his neck and all that other **** , but couldn't hit a 10 yard pass to another blokes feet, or played with an ugly fat troll who looks rubbish but is infact a pocket sized pele, you can't tell nothing from 10 minutes of watching training

Good thing it was 2 hours of training then and keep ball not keep uppies. which is actually a very good indication of how good someone is as it shows their touch and passing in packed areas.

He's been a centre midfielder at Brighton but previously during his old angels years and when i use to play with him at school im pretty sure he was mainly a striker back then so can probably play in either position

The lad from VCD... is that Jack Parkinson, the former Angels youth team player who went there a couple of seasons back to try to break into the first-team? If so, a few League sides tracking him apparently...

As for the mystery full-back, any clues?? Afro
