John Beales
« on: Friday, 04 July, 2008, 13:58.35 »

This is really directed at Mike or Pete, or anyone who feels involved enough at the club to answer, but

hows he doing at bristol? has he signed? will he sign? has he been rejected?

John Beales has been unable to trial with Bristol Rovers due to the knee injury he suffered at the back end of last season.

He is still working with Melvin to try and sort the knee problem but other than that no more can be said.

Yes it would appear to be good news apart from our budget might already have been allocated to other players assuming that he would have a succesful trial.

If you consider it good news that one of our best players for years has a VERY serious injury then good for you.

But we are not talking about a situation where he will be able to start training again sometime soon.

Poor Bealesy.  I am so sorry to hear this news.   What a terrible blow when he was on the brink of a well-deserved move up the leagues.  Get well very soon.

It was the knee injury he suffered againsttt.... Hendon./Harrow?

I dont know the exact injury but im guessing from the bloke going intothe back of his knee and him seeming to twist it will likely be ligament/tendon damage.

You never know he could suddenly recover and go off to bristol/conference club.. it may take him till september and then he finds his feet again at Angels.. or he could be out for a long long time

Just one of those ones where you have to wait until the injury settles down.

Im pretty sure KM put a pic up showing there was contact. Even minimal contact could cause a lot of damage when its to the back of the knee, alot of tendons/ligaments around there to injure
