I reported earlier in the season that George had been selected to play for the County side from the Under 16's. Kent Under 16's today won the Home Counties Youth competition for only the second time in the last 35 years. The Kent side beat Middlesex the current holders on goal difference! George started in all 5 games and is a geniune player for the future.
I would also like to thank Nick and Tonbridge for the use of the facilities at Longmead for the trials, and the assistance of Simon Balsdon who helped coach the players through the season, and Mike Cramp who helped out during our tour to Stoke and games thereafter. The players and coaches will be getting together for an evening soon to receive the trophy. Thank you.
