Welling United are rumoured to be tracking Barry Jeffrey, the successful boss of Tonbridge Angels youth set up. Jeffrey has been banned from the BetterView Stadium after some off the pitch troubles including refusing to play the Chairman's son alledgedly. Jeffrey is widely held solely responsible for the most successful youth set up in Angel's History and could be just the man to put the Wings back on the map in Youth Football after years in the wilderness since the Club scrapped possibly the most successful set up outside of the Football League. The Angels we believe have sacked him and banned him for his methods of attracting higher standard players to the Club but there are other reasons that have upset those In Charge we are told. T.A.F.C are holding a meeting to which Jeffrey is not invited and has not been notified as yet of the Meetings outcome,  and it is thought an announcement will be made shortly. Carshalton and Bromley are also interested in capturing Jeffrey's signature. More news as we get it....

I did notice on the Isthmiam forum last night  that rumours had started! Surprising really because nothing has yet been forthcoming from the club. I don't like to hear rumours about our Angels! Just like when it was rumoured that JT was leaving, call me niave - but...............

I do know there was a board meeting last night and Barry Jeffreys role was to be discussed. Has his role been defined - or has he been released?  Huh

If he has been relieved of his duties.....Why do we have to hear it from another fans site - yet again - it really pees me off!  Angry

What's the score? Pete??  Huh

The rumour mongers were at work on Tuesday night at the Croydon game as well.  I notice that BJ has been absent of late.  No doubt, if anyone wants to tell us anything, they will & if they don't, they won't !

I have spoken to Nick Sullivan this morning and he assures me a statement is forthcoming regarding Barry, following a Board Meeting.

In the mean time he fiercely denies the allegation posted by the Welling website. (I don't think I need to point out which one)
