I agree. If we're not careful Garry and Nick could say 'we've had enough of this - let's b****r off and find somewhere where we're appreciated'. Just think of the repercussions! Garry and Nick are the club's future and we've got to bite our tongues and do without the extra pint of beer on matchdays and pay the extra £2.
Having said that I would not call some of the previous posters 'idiots' - they have an opinion and that is their right.

Don't see why anyone would get angry about someone having a different - but valid - opinion. What's the old saying about agreeing to disagree?

Right, firstly from a personal perspective.
The quotes suggest that anyone who had a different view to that of the club on the subject is a "mindless idiot". I have no option but to assume I am included in that group.
This is frankly distasteful at best. As someone who has spent the last 11 years either running the website, editing the match programme or researching the entire club history for the benefit of the whole club, I now find myself thinking "why bother". The amount of money I have spent on the club in those years must be frightening. This is not an ego trip, I am just grossly offended by the comments that I as well as others take very personally. Equally I do not appreciate being called a "dickhead" or being accused of getting personal or holding a grudge, when I was merely sticking up for people who don't post here. Like Jammy, I will be speaking to Nick about this personally.
From a more general perspective, the comments are still extremely offensive to anyone they were aimed at, whether someone who has put a lot of hard work in, someone who travels long distances passing dozens of other clubs on the way to see this team, or a local fan who has paid their money to turn up on the day. EVERYONE deserves to have their say, and NO ONE deserves to be called a mindless idiot for doing so.
I'm not so sure it's a "minority" of fans either. I think opinion was fairly well split on the other thread, and you have to take into account the many supporters not registered on this forum.
Most people will be well aware I do not sit at games, however I am not self-centred enough to have a "not my problem" attitude. I believe that charging to sit is wrong, and I stand by that view. There are other ways of raising the money, if it is needed, and it was being and can be discussed in an adult way without the directors' self-appointed lieutenant shooting down in flames anyone who tries to do so.
Nick and Gary are businessmen and will make their decision based on what they believe is best for the club. It seems Mike would like us to believe they are two babies threatening to throw their toys out of the pram if we don't all agree with them - I don't buy it, sorry. Whether we agree or disagree, right or wrong, we are entitled to our opinions and I will not stand for any behaviour on this forum that makes people feel their opinions are not wanted - yes I did see the posts that had to be deleted this morning and you know who you are. If you can't conduct yourselves on this forum in line with the rules, you are not wanted here, simple as that.

Strong words Dan but well put. We all have our own opinion. Sometimes I agree with yours - sometimes not. My point is that I have a feeling that Nick is getting so frustrated with negative (perhaps not warranted) views on this forum that he's beginning to think- why bother? I doubt he's putting the effort in for an ego trip and maybe we should give him slack now and again?
