Angels Res 4 Chipstead 2
Following his four goals Saturday Andy Constable hit another hatrick to seal the points in the reserves final game in the Suburban League tonight at home to Chipstead.
The game had an 'end of term' feeling about it with a below par first half. Failure to clear the ball and take too many touches led to Chipstead taking a well deserved lead on 18 minutes.
On 26 minutes Andy Constable drew the game level when finishing off an Alex Rich cross. Once again howver hesitant defending allowed Chipstead to lead on the 36th minute.
Fortunately for us with 5 minutes remaining of the half Ashley Dann flicked on a free kick from Charlie Dix and Constable was there to finish clinicially to reach the half way stage all square.
The second half was once again better and within 5 minutes of the restart a long kick from keeper Martin Grant saw Ashley Dann shoot against the keeper and the ball ballooned into the empty net.
The game was sealed on 81 minutes when Constable completed his hatrick. His first shot was saved well by the Chipstead keeper and the alert Dann picked up the rebound and sent a pinpoint cross back across the goal for Constable to head home the winner.
This win puts us into third place and now we have to wait on Three Bridges result to see if we can hold that fnal place.
The end of a great season for the squad and the management, they have done Tonbridge Angels proud. Third or Fourth place in the league and Kent Intermediate Cup Final Winners. Well done!
Team: Grant, Starkey, Donovan, Crane, Brock, Johnson, Newman, Dix, Rich, A (Cornhill 50), Dann (Sharman 65), Constable (Blundell 88) Subs: Rich, N, Funnell
Goals: Constable 26, 40, 81 Dann 50

There were two Andy Constable's at Tunbridge Wells. Your new hero was a legend at Whitstable Town with nearly 100 goals to his name
