I sit down because I tend to go with people who like to sit, although I have been known to stand behind the goal as well.  Of course I'd rather stand than not go at all.

What about the poeple who sit in the main stand because they don't want to hear all the swearing or get smoke blown in their faces?  Should they have to pay an extra pound?

There's an arguement that the people who stand every game shouldn't have to pay for the seats that they don't use.

Jammy, I am not saying its a u v me thing. I am on neither side. Otherwise i wouldnt have spent 2 hours on the phone to Nick this morning expressing and representing YOUR views would i? (regarding the disabled area) or be trying to give nick ideas of ways to help with it ie, the programme gets you in seats free idea.

To be honest I dont care about if people are paying to sit, because i never sit. However i do see it that if we want the club to move forward we have to have 500 seats in there. End of.
And the money for those seats has to come from somewhere.

It is our club and also our responsibility to help with the costs, i think it is very unfair Jammy to say "they want to do the upgrades it can come out of their pocket"
Garry has put £50,000 of his OWN money into these improvements. And i dont know about you but I dont expect to ever have £50,000 in my bank Let alone have the generosity to put it all in one go into ground improvements for a club. So i think your comment there was a little unfair seeing as theres not much more the guy could do. What do you want him to do? pay for everyone to get in!

Do, or could, the concreting works include creating stepped terracing along the bar side of the ground? Then those that want to stand and get a pitch side, as opposed to end, view, get catered for.

They shouldn't, neither should the people who sit there.

In my opinion the entry to the ground should be that and the use of the facilities which includes the seating area/bar/toilets etc.

(I hope that doesn't give anyone ideas about putting turnstiles on the loo's)

I said the seats could come out of his pocket, the money he's already put in and then EVERYONE can pay for the improvements to the other areas. Rather than the people who sit in the stands paying for it without being consulted. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say there. Obviously generating revenue is a very difficult thing to do and I totally respect investors, I would invest if I were able and so would many others.

Thank you for representing the views of those who do sit as I know you stand and it doesn't affect you  Afro

The money for them should be coming from the increased entry fee.

As you say Mike, it's all of ours club, so everybody should be chipping in for the ground improvements, not just those who use them most.  If we built a new toilet block there would be outrage if we charged a pound for people to use them.

Doctor, of course it could be done. But i dont think it is this close season.
Mainly because there is barely going to be enough time for everything else they plan to do.

They are going to continue to concrete more and remove more grass from around the pitch, so it is safer. However there is alot more work/time and money involved in creating safe terracing, you cant just whack conrete there and say hey presto. If your going down that route you then need more railings.. and also an inspection i believe to check that the terracing is safe for use. (who knows how ramsgate passed that)
