Wimbledon
Dover
Dartford
all have already announced they will be charging 10/11 quid.

I think some people are being a tad unappreciative.

Garry is paying 50k out his own pocket to pay for ground improvements that MUST be made for us to get promoted...

What would everyone say if we didnt raise admission prices,, therefore couldnt either have a squad good enough to get us up there, or make the ground improvements.

What would you say if we got promotion but then because we hadnt raised admission prices in-line with other clubs we hadnt been able to afford the necessary improvements. I think you would all be VERY annoyed!

Again, where is the evidence that most people sitting down are not in the "Adult" admission bracket, or that nearly all clubs charge to sit?

I cant quote on those who sit, however regarding the point about how many of each.

I can tell you that it is a FACT that only 25% of our average gates is full price adults.
75% do not pay full price!

So not all then! Why say things you can't justify? Wimbledon may not even be in our league next season. It may come to the light that "all" clubs will charge £10 - but you don't know that yet.

Sorry, but there is NO justification for charging extra just to be able to sit down, in non-league football. Didn't we collect £150k in investment, prize money and player sales last year?

Nonsense, you only have to look at the attendance averages to see that our gate receipts are already comfortably at the higher end of the league. In that respect Hendon have done bloody well to finish above us haven't they. We have increased our admission fee to stay in line with the league and be competitive in the league. I haven't complained about this - I merely asked for others' opinions about that. The extra fee to sit down targets a small group of supporters, is discriminatory and unfair and will result in a significantly emptier long stand.

As for "unappreciative" - tough - as a paying supporter I'm entitled to my opinion as is anyone else.

If they want to watch this level of football... then they need to pay what it costs to watch this level of football.

Do you really want me to go and email every club to get written confirmation that in fact the majority of clubs will be charging 10 next season?

And i see you ignored my post that had facts in. I never said you cant have your opinion but when you ask for facts, when they are then proven you ignore the fact.

You made a rod for your own back by specifically stating, among other things, that all clubs will charge. Now you are saying you don't actually know without e-mailing them to ask.

The only relevant bit of that post was where you said you didn't actually know how many people who sit pay full price. I think that sums it up really.

In reply to Dan, I will give you my views on this debate.

Firstly you are quite right you will not get confirmation from many clubs at this
stage of their prices for next season. From the feeling I get most clubs will charge
£10-00 next season. I may of course of be proven wrong. The board at Tonbridge has made an early decision, and prices next season have been raised to those
levels.

Our price rises were announced in the AFC Hornchurch progamme on 19th April, 2008, in a article written by me. At the same time prices of season tickets were
announced, and reduced prices were offered if the ticket was purchased before
31/05/08. Several people have already then up the offer, so obviously some people to buy and read our programmes! The point of this argument is that it
seems that it has taken until now for it to raised on the website, which also happens to be just one day after the Official Websitemaster asked me to confirm prices. What I am really saying there is the purchase of a programme an issue, so that you are kept up to date with matter, I would like to know views on that point.

The adult season ticket purchased before 31/05/08, will reduce your costs to £8-10 per match, it you attend all games, which I hope you do. Getting the money in
early will help you, and the club. We need to get adequate income to ensure that we have a strong side. I am sure you understand that.

Charlie.

Ok for pensioners, students (genuine ones mind) eveb the unemployed -keep prices low but for most working people 200 pees is bugger all

£2-00 increase to watch the Angels is too much.
But most people will probably go with it.
You can't then expect to charge even more to sit down.

Do we need over 600 seats for promotion to B.Square south then?
There's no way we need that many seats at the moment.

Dont get me wrong, really appreciate what Nick & Garry are doing, but these are big increases.
