Reserves Report
« on: Monday, 26 September, 2005, 22:18.30 »

Taken from the Official Site. And i'd like to thank Mikey for the hard work he puts in to his reports.

A spectacular late goal from Matt Scudder gave Angels a share of the
spoils on Saturday, It was again a case of what might have been as
Angels created chance after chance in the last two thirds of the game.
Casuals started the brighter of the two sides with both forwards Watney
& Corbett going close,Angels cause was not helped after 15 mins when
skipper Sim Johnson limped off with a hamstring injury,Ben Rainbow
replacing him.As the half wore on Angels started to stamp there
authority on the game with the hardworking O'Neil and Cramp both having
efforts saved. With the first half ending scoreless Angels started much
the better team in the second period but clear cut chances were limited.

Phil Cramp perhaps had the best oppurtunity midway through the
half, having worked an opening in the penalty area the forwards effort on
goal was blocked on the line, having survived that scare Casuals went
straight up the other end of the pitch and having evaded three attempts
to disposses him Chandrian unleashed an unstoppable right foot shot into
the far corner of the net.Scutter replaced Cramp and Dan Stringer came
on for Ian Parkes as the Angels set about getting back into the game
Adlam in the Casuals goal saved well from the impressive Neville and
Ward cleared a Miles goalbound effort,With time running out a Stringer
cross into the penalty area was only half headed clear,Scudder with his
back to goal hit an unstoppable bicycle kick into the the top corner of
the net for a worthy equaliser.

Team:
Goldsmith,Johnson(Rainbow),Dunk,Miles,Hollyoak,
Parkes(Stringer),Sinclair,Neville,Kennet,O'Neil,Cramp.P(Scudder)

We deserved at least a point from this game, the good thing is we are at
least creating chances, the bad thing we is are not converting any were
near enough of them.Sinclair and Neville both had solid games in the
middle of the park and defensivley despite losing Sim early we looked
pretty solid.
