So sue me..........
« on: Monday, 26 September, 2005, 21:27.40 »

Taken from the Official Site.

Reaction today from Chairman Nick Sullivan and Manager Tony Dolby to the FA Cup draw away at Conference North side Worcester City.

Sullivan was “slightly disappointed to get an away tie especially one involving such a long journey, however the chance to play a team 2 levels higher is exciting and, given the way the team are playing not one to fear. Hopefully we can get a result as this is where the prize and gate money can become quite significant”

Manager Dolby was his usual phlegmatic self “whoever we drew we didn’t mind as we are playing good football right now. Saturday was a great result against a formidable opponent and hopefully we can carry that into the next round. yes it’s disappointing to get a long away tie but Ruthers and I have played at Worcester before. they are a good side but right now struggling in the Conference and we will go there in good spirits believing we can get a result. We also intend not to lose focus on the league as that is our number one priority. However a good cup run is good for morale and the bank balance which can only in turn help our league campaign. We hope the magnificent support we got at Fisher will be repeated at Worcester”.

The club is in discussions with Worcester over possible plans to move the date or time of the tie to avoid clashing with the England game. They also revealed that the players will travel the night before to give them the best possible preparation.

In other news it was revealed skipper Steve Aris undergoes a nose operation tomorrow and will be out for up to 6 weeks. However Dolby is in negotiation with a higher level club to hopefully secure a replacement on loan.

The club wishes Steve all the best and hopes to see him back soon

And i'd like to respond by saying - to Aris - if you can't delay the op by a couple of weeks.....Good luck and speedy return  Smiley
