Well I was pleased when I first saw the draw - i got muddled up between Worcester and Winchester and thought we're playing Winchester City, the  Wessex league team we knocked out of the trophy last year. Bit gutted to discover it's a Conference North team. Ah well!

With regards to long links, I'll have a look, see what we can do. The correct option, I guess, is to use proper HTML - if we can't put a restriction into the forum for this, then the next best option is for people to use something like http://tinyurl.com

i was a bit annoyed at some of the comments on the worcester forum.
Apart from reckoning that our name Tonbridge Angels is "probably the campest in football", they seem to presume we will be a pushover.
Presume on you "Worcester Saucers" (campest i could think of  Cheesy). you might be in for a small shock!

One person saying "Home tie against "lower" ranked opposition. Cant really ask for more. " - that constitutes presuming a pushover, does it?  Nobody else has been daft enough to make such a presumption, knowing Worcester's liking for ignominious defeat!

On the name front, yes it is a fairly unusual suffix. Not such a bad thing though, makes it more memorable. At least it ain't Harriers!

And also on the Worcester City forum, they reckon that Leroy's pace must lack from when he was playing in the mid-90's. Well they're in for a nice surprise! Also can anyone tell me how old Leroy actually is?

from their forum
"Great draw. Home tie against "lower" ranked opposition. Cant really ask for more. "

funny bet Fisher thought that too

Yep I bet Fisher thought that too - I doubt there's a fan in the country who wouldn't consider a home tie against lower ranked opposition as a perfect draw. Doesnt mean to say we will underestimate you at all, we've had enough slip ups at this stage to lower ranked teams, and you can't possibly be as poor as the Bemerton Heath team from last week. Having said that, I expect a win for City. Have a good time at Worcester, there won't be any segregation, we don't have any for league games either, and all enjoy a half time walk. If anyone takes the train up then Foregate Street is the best station stop.

No-one has said 2000 was mid 90's I just remember most of your players from the mid 90's Warren Haughton playing locally at Tamworth back in 97, Tony Dolby at Welling around 97. Steve Aris, Millwall around the mid 90's?? Don't know wherer you got the 2000 from, don't even know what league those guys were playing in then, Fisher had dropped out of the Southern Premier a few years back.
