Today was my first game watching you, and unfortunately wont be coming back. The atmosphere was threatening and uncomfortable. If thats how u like to win ur games then be it, but u werent be going any further than this league.

Beat Hatfield 5-0 in the first (I think) qualifying round of the FA Cup sometime in the late 70s. I'm sure someone will confirm which year. Fast forward to 1984 when I got binned by my first serious bird, Little Stuart took pity on me and invited me to watch the Angels play the Gills in a pre-season friendly. I also met Beer Hunter for the first time.

I've only ever attended two games at Tonbridge. The second was as a Whites fan two years ago. The less said about that the better! Good luck to you guys for the last few games of this season.
My first was as a young lad in the late fifties. My father was a red hot Folkestone fan and we followed them home and away. At that time I didn't have any choice! This particular game was at the Angel ground and Folkestone in their amber and black swarmed all over the Tonbridge lads and by early in the second half were winning 4-0.
There followed the fight-back of all time.
Against a background of mounting hysteria Tonbridge scored - and again - and then a third. Shortly before the end they equalised and the noise was unbelievable!
As a young lad I wasn't yet able to share my father's chagrin and utter frustration but now I understand how he must have felt and what a memorable occasion it must have been for the Tonbridge faithful.
Do any of you Tonbridge old timers out there remember that game - and have I got the detail correct?

It would have been the 1962 game.
