Tommy's Magnificent Seven
« on: Saturday, 29 March, 2008, 18:39.32 »

Lets all try and stay optimistic and keep today's result (gutwrenching though it was) in perspective.

We have had a ball since Tommy Warrilow took over as manager, especially the last magnificent seven wins.  In Dolby's time that would have seemed impossible - and most games won in real style.  We are so lucky to have such a talented coach and man manager in Tommy serving up good watchable football week in and week out.

In anyone's book losing to the league champions (elect) is no disgrace and the result so nearly went our way anyway.

I still believe we will make the play offs, but will not be heartbroken if we just miss out.  Things will be absolutely fabulous next season when Tommy has the reigns through pre-season and all the way through from the start on the campaign.

a word of caution
this time last year we were talking about if we didn't make the play offs
we would have a great season to look forward to under dolby next year
we can't take this run for granted
we have to build on it, and not look back on past performances , like the dolby legacy
