its much wetter today than last week , and the match was called off
it stayed dry on saturday
i wouldn't get your hopes up

I guess we'll just have to clutch at the straw that it's windier and less cold that last Sataurday which might advance the drying process....

I just hope the decision is made by 12.30pm tomorrow as that's the time the supporters coach and most of the clarets travelling by other means, depart Chelmsford.
Moderators I believe that manc angel is masquerading as mr peter foster and mr hitman hearn.

I thought that those sort of shenanigans were not allowed.

Re: Chelmsford fixture - I have just played Golf match at Maidstone today - we managed 10 holes in monsoon conditions - they closed the course.

I doubt whether the Longmead pitch will stand it.

I hope i'm wrong.

Well, if it is off, and I truely hope it isn't ... then we will be off to Folkestone to support them against Horchurch.  .... especially after their blip against Hastings.

Just to put the record straight for any Chelmsford supporters the goal was very unfortunately scored by our MOM Tommy Tyne and not by a Chelmo player.

Must give them credit though in as much as it was nice to see a team come to Longmead prepared to play football and I firmly believe they are the best side we have faced in the second part of this season. Can't help believing that we gave them a bit too much respect and have no doubt that when the dust settles they will agree they were a little fortunate to escape with the points.

Having said that congrats are in order and it's good to see another ex southern league side win the championship.

As far as we are concerned let's hope this sad reverse has not affected the winning mentality that has been so evident of late and that the lad's can take all the positives from this game into the run up to the end of the season, grab a play off place and ram today's travesty down Chelmsford's thoat next season in the Connie South.

agreed
yes i thought in the last half hour we had a few chances to break quickly and get a goal, but storey seemed to believe otherwise
we gave them too much respect and i think if we had been a little more positive in those last few minutes we would have won it
abit pissed off at the end , but the goal had been coming for about 15 minutes
