The rain is forecast to cease in Tonbridge around 4pm this afternoon after which it is forecast to remain dry until Sunday morning. And with a wind in the order of 16 to 31mph I would have thought that there's every prospect that the pitch might be playable come 3pm Saturday.

Oh, it's raining again
Oh no, my love's at an end
Oh no, it's raining again
And you know it's hard to pretend

Oh no, it's raining again
Too bad I'm losing a friend
Oh no, it's raining again
Oh will my heart ever mend

You're old enough some people say
To read the signs and walk away
It's only time that heals the pain
And makes the sun come out again

It's raining again
Oh no, my love's at an end
Oh no, it's raining again
Too bad I'm losing a friend

C'mon you little fighter
No need to get uptighter
C'mon you little fighter
And get back up again

It's raining again
Oh no, my love's at an end
Oh no, it's raining again
Too bad I'm losing a friend

C'mon you little fighter
No need to get uptighter
C'mon you little fighter
And get back up again
Oh, get back up again
Oh, fill (feel?) your heart again

In the stomach and duodenum of a capybara which I opened I found a very large quantity of a thin yellowish fluid, in which scarcely a fibre could be distinguished.

So what do you feel are the prospects for play given that they'll be a drying wind blowing for the 25 hours remaining before kick-off which little if any further rain forecast....

I guess we'll just have to clutch at the straw that it's windier and less cold that last Sataurday which might advance the drying process....

I just hope the decision is made by 12.30pm tomorrow as that's the time the supporters coach and most of the clarets travelling by other means, depart Chelmsford.
