considering everyone went to this game instead dartford were crap , all the goals were scored by the wind if they come up they will go back down stadium made of lego, car park far too small, catering embarrassing bar not big enough pikeys as far as the eyes could see
Green eyed monster me thinks!
I occasionally go along to Longmead when Dartford are not playing as it’s not too far away and although I agree you have more experience players and currently have the stronger team I would say Dartford have more depth. We have a number of players in our youth ranks who are better than our first teamers. Perhaps we will need to bring in a few players if we go up but as yet we are still in the Northern division. One thing I know is for certain we have a large fan base and the whole feel of PP puts Longmead to shame.
The reality here is in time the likes of Dartford, Dover and Maidstone will all overtake you in the pyramid as these teams have a larger fan base. Unless Tonbridge can get regular 700-800 gates I cannot see them getting much further than where they are at present and as for the stadium well…if it’s 5,000 capacity then PP holds 20,000. In truth PP only holds 4,199 due to safety regulations. Talking of the bar; we have 2 both of these are far bigger than what the Angels have.
Just a quick note from my old mate Gary Julians; He has asked if you can stop taking cheap shots at Tony Burman as they are very goods mates and that he is one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. He does the manager’s job for nothing if you didn’t already know.
Good luck with the rest of your season.

jonty....You say Dartford have more depth..surely that should of read more DEBT!!
WHEN WILL ALL THE LOAN MONEY BE PAID OFF FOR THE COUNCILS GROUND!!
A larger fan base is never a guarentee to doing well, i'd like to know what the dart's match day takings are with a thousand through the gate,NO TAKINGS FROM THE BAR'S OR CATERING ,as the council keeps all that!!..
Dart's also have a huge wage bill for the army of stewards ,council employee's in the carpark, and catering staff.. art's also have loads of freeloaders,in council officials and school kids/community groups that get in free, but are included in the match day attandance.
Dart's crowds will never ever fall below a seasons average of a thousand even if you played in the north kent pony trapping league, because the council won't let it it ,as they like to quote the dart's attendance's in it's council elections policy to try and justify nearly 8 million of tax payers money spent on pee pee.
PEE PEE is a souless place, with no heart,no humour,no charm .i drive past every time i watch the angels.

You know what we are in debt to the tune of 150 grand +, we don’t get any bar or food money but we don’t pay any ground rent as they were included when the ground was handed over with a very long lease. We can’t even afford the big budgets of the premier teams but we will always compete because we have the best youth teams in Kent non league and as the best non league players come from in and around the area we will always be there or there abouts without the need of the dreaded sugar daddy. I’m with you about PP being soulless but given time and a bit of wear and tear this should iron out that issue.
In reality the supporters of DFC don’t care about what anyone else thinks about us or the team. We are giving something back to the community and after years of being in the wilderness or should I say shafted by The Stones I’m just glad we have a ground again. Before we got PP I would have settled for anything as long as we had our own ground.
