Charity dissapointment
« on: Sunday, 25 September, 2005, 18:38.43 »

Went down this afternoon and had a great one. However, very dissapointed at the fact that i didnt see one first team player even show their face. In fact only player tp turn up was Hamid Barr and his very tasty lady friend. Also not many of the tonny faithful around either.....Jm and kentishman excused.....

I know it wasnt for the club etc and was a charity turnout, but i thought some of the players would have felt obliged to turn out!!!!!!!!

Comments?

pasting my message from earlier as this thread suits better.....

Mick in the PA hut was at a slight disadvantage today at the Celeb match, because a green raffle gazebo completely blocked his view of the south end of the pitch.
the only way he knew the score was by counting the number of times the Angels representative XI kicked off!

i took a few pics of the 'Legends' & 'Celebs' who did turn up. these will be uploaded to the gallery soon.
namely Dave Arter, Gary Aldous, Paul Dainty (huffin & puffin in midfield), Geoff Curtis, Nick Sullivan in goal for the Arse, Ralph Little & Terry Marsh.
If you knew any of the others please add to this thread

The first teamers are probably still suffering from last nights celebrations Clivey  Wink Bet you were having a 'hair of the dog' today!  Roll Eyes

Think they deserve to put thier feet up and have a well earned rest. Ready to play on Tuesday. They work and today would be thier only day of rest.

The last charity game - not so long ago,  for the Pickering Cancer Charity involved the first team. They turned out and did us proud against the ladies, though it did get a bit filthy  Grin Today's event was not meant to include them. I did see Crampy there and a couple of Ressies. And Oldgit was there too  Smiley

It was a good turn out overall for charity. And a 'fun' game for the spectators.  angel Smiley
