Something tells me this kid could be worth watching - I think he's only a teenager
TRELEAVEN - TOP TALENT says Kirkham's boss..
KIRKHAM boss Mick Fuller admits that he would love to have Crowborough striker Ross Treleaven in his side (writes Howard Jones). Fuller fresh back from seeing his sides march into the last eight of the FA Vase in Sussex on Saturday by beating Crowborough Athletic 2-0, said: “That lad is tremendous. Has pace in abundance and is like ‘Grease Lightning.” Treleaven was quick to lay praise at the heart of the Kirkham defence when he said after seeing his Wembley hopes disappear. “I’m used to beating the opponents defence but Kirkham just had another man behind them every time l got through. “It’s tough to lose, but Kirkham are a good side and there is still a lot left for us this season.” Treleaven, who has thrashed in 26 goals this season is young, lean and a quite amazing talent, and reminds me of Liverpool’s top talent Torres. A lot of Kirkham’s pre-match preparation was centered around him and while he was unlucky to have a 23rd minute goal ruled out in front of a record 772 crowd at Crowborough on Saturday, he showed enough with that strike, to suggest that he may well go on to play at a much higher level. “Just watching him is a real headache. We’ve seen him twice now and l really don’t think Crowborough played to his strengths,- thankfully” added the Kirkham boss.
