City were the better side, no doubt about it, don't think anyone can argue that fact, United didn't turn up. But I'm offering reasons as to why United had an 'off day'. Smiley

City always raise their game against Utd, i should know being a regular at OT for some 25 years. Pity they don't do it more often, they might actually win something

I'll be more than happy to compile some stats to put to bed your preposterous idea than Manure were the only team affected by the midweek internationals. I'm sure supporters of clubs with a significant number of African players (absent for weeks due to an entire tournament) will take issue with it too.

These guys are supposedly supremely fit, yet they can't manage two games in a week!!!

You don't have to go back that far to the season Liverpool won the League (42 games back then) and European Cup in the same season, using 14 players.

I have never said Man Utd were the only club affected by midweek internationals - I said they were the club most affected as more of their players were representing their countries than any other club!

If I am proven wrong by stats then I'll admit I was wrong but until then I AM RIGHT! Smiley

ok, firstly well done on replying to one word of my post Tongue

so "most" affected, yada yada, what I am saying is that no team is genuinely affected at all, as these players are more than capable of playing twice in a week (and manage fine when its a champions league week) hence it is an excuse.
