munich 50th anniversary
« on: Monday, 11 February, 2008, 10:03.44 »

I was very pleased to see the Manchester City fans observe the minute silence, after all the fuss around whether they would or not.

Agree.

I was doubly pleased to see City win!

Excuses after the game from Queiroz about "players fatigue after internationals"... conveniently forgetting Richard Dunne had played 90 minutes v Brazil!!

John Carew played for Norway on Wednesday and was not too tired to score 3 for Villa on Saturday.

True  Smiley

It must be a problem that afflicts ManUre players as Tim Cahill played for Australia on Wednesday in Melbourne and still managed 90 minutes for Everton on Saturday.

I don't have the stats but I'm sure Man Utd had more players in their starting line-up over the weekend that represented their countries midweek than any other side?

It is no excuse. It's a reason. And a valid one. Come back when you've got some stats.
