thought it went well to night good passing of the ball
rooney played well to night all over the pitch helping out in every position
james looked consistant think he could be our england no1 ( that is untill reed gets discovered)
brown was the most dissapointing player out there to night made to many mistakes richards would of been my first choice
bently doesnt look like hes ready imo
still think shaun wright-phillips should have started hes such a great player on the right hand side
theres some good healthy compotition in all positions
gk i would think james, kirkland, carson and maybe joe hart
and rm i would say beckham, bently, wright-phillips and lennon
maybe to night was the start of something great for england

Went to the game last night. Quite encouraging how we tried to get the ball down and play through the opposition, refreshing to see the new manager mixing it up a little bit ie involving the likes of Ashley Young, Matthew Upson and no room for Robinson and Owen.
Thought there were some decent performances out there. Upson looked solid, especially in the air, didn't have an awful lot to do mind. Bentley grew in stature as the game went on and created a couple of good opportunities with his vision. Barry again performing to a high standard when given the chance for his country and Rooney... well, he's Wayne Rooney, 'nuff said! The man that impressed me the most before being withdrawn was Jermaine Jenas. Never been a fan of his at all but thought last night he played excellently in an unfamiliar advanced position in the midfield.
Capello's going to have a few headaches should the 'fringe' players keep playing like they did last night. Hopefully he'll see Lampard shouldn't be anywhere near the side with Barry, Hargreaves and Gerrard above him in the pecking order and Bently and Jenas playing so well when moved inside.
