City take-on Kent opposition in Tonbridge Angels at Melbourne on Saturday, kick-off 3:00pm, aiming to maintain their 100% home record in all competitions and stay top of the table.
A twelve-point gap has opened between Jeff King’s Clarets and third-placed Ramsgate but, with sides in and around the play-off positions possessing games in hand, Chelmsford will still hunt down the three points with the possibility of others slipping further behind.
The Management Team will have to do without right-back Lee Protheroe on this occasion as he sits out with a one-match ban for his sending-off at Staines Town a fortnight ago, but King will have been pleased to see superb performances from the likes of Jon Keeling and Dean Palmer in midweek Essex Senior Cup defeat of Thurrock.
Angels, meanwhile, are still adjusting to life post-Jon Main, the League’s top scorer having recently been transferred to A.F.C. Wimbledon. But their form hasn’t been affected too dramatically, having lost just one of their last five games as they sit in the lower reaches of the table.

Matchday Hospitality This Saturday
Bookings are now being taken for hospitality at our game on Saturday. A three-course meal will be served, to consist of: Starter - Melon & Citrus Cocktail, Main - Chicken in Exotic Mushroom Sauce, New Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables, Dessert - Dutch Apple Pie & Custard. A vegetarian option is also available on request.
The price for a matchday meal is £30, which includes;
• Admission to the game with a reserved seat in the Main Stand, directly in front of the Directors’ box;
• A half bottle of wine;
• Complimentary Matchday Programme;
• The opportunity to meet the players after the game.
Season Ticket Holders can purchase the meal at a price of £20 for the three courses, while group bookings of ten or more reduce the price to £25 per head.
