What's Klinsmann ever done as a manager? He got Germany to a World Cup Semi-Final

Which Sven wasn't able to do and McClown no hope of doing.

Redknapp out of the running I would think. Can't see the FA employing someone who is helping the police with their enquiries.

I heard Gerard Houllier has been thrown into the mix as a potential candidate.

Looks like Capello has it in the bag. Excellent choice for me, I had my doubts about Mourinho (it was turning into a bit of a bandwagon and he would have jumped ship for a big club) whereas Fabio has always said this is his dream job. Bags of experience which we will really need to get out of that qualifying group.

Yes have to agree with the choice of Capello, I hope he does a good job and I'm sure he will.
All that needs to be sorted is the "Englishman" that will be working alongside him.
Paul Ince is a possible candidate, played international football, played for some massive clubs Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter and has done well so far in management. The plus points is he speaks Italian the minus points that if its a part time position would MK Dons release him on International dates as I am sure that 3rd tier clubs still play on international dates?
I'm also a fan of Ray Wilkins, good coach and also speaks Italian, vast knowledge of international football and could be the "arm round the shoulder" man against Capello's tough management style.
Interesting times, shame the summer will be wasted because we didnt appoint the right man when Sven stepped down.

Lets hope Capello doesn't suffer any fallout from the scandal that happened in Italy a couple of years back. I think it still has to go through the Italian courts.

I'd like to think they didn't look at Redknapp because he wasn't good enough!
