Yes, thank you for feeling the need to have a go at the poor lad three times in one thread.

Huh?  idiot2

I thought this was a forum for people to air their views and opinions? I was one of a large majority that thought Matt wasn't one of the better players on view this evening. But hey, next week (if he plays), he may well score a hat-trick and get my MOM vote.....Let's hope so....... Wink

Grin - Hopefully I'll be bit bigger when I can eat again......

Seemed like an attendance of around 160 people. Can anyone confirm the actual gate?

Well, out of the 30-odd behind the goal, a good 75-80% were criticising him. I don't hate the lad, he's a nice guy, speak to him a lot of the time, but tonight just wasn't his night. Is that so difficult to comprehend?!

Attendance was confirmed as 170 - not a bad estimate by myself......biggest attendance this evening except Dover 1-0 Ware who had 301.  Smiley

So that large majority amounts to 20 out of 170, as far as you are aware.

Thank you for clearing that up!

So he says  Wink. Large majority i.e talks to oneself  uglystupid2

Atleast Bert got a rest from the 'critics' tonight! Who next week? Danny Lye super sub tonight  Smiley He went from villain to hero - MOM last week  Grin And he deserves that accolade i'm sure.

Haughton - from loser to best striker within a week!  Any more? Oops! Too many to remember..... crazy2

Yes, excellent delivery to set up Smudger for the second goal but I'm afraid that's about the only thing decent he did all evening. I've already stated he's a decent player but tonight he just wasn't - fact. I lost count of how many times he miscontrolled a pass and how many times he misplaced a pass. At this level, you cannot afford to do that. Luckily we weren't playing a good team or else he alone would have conceded a couple of goals. Not unwarrented criticism. It is warrented - I'm sure if you went and spoke to Matt, he would be the first to admit he was awful this evening. Yes it's true that the odd mistake sticks in the memory of supporters mor than the amount of good but tonight the amount of good was very little I'm afraid. No doubt he's a decent player and has a bright future ahead of him. We've seen what he's capable of in pre-season and on a couple of occasions last season. He's consistantly brilliant for Ressies and Youth Teams, from what I hear, but tonight wasn't one of his better evenings.

Just bothered to read this, but OMG what a load of condescending twaddle Gazza! Do not try to anihilate someone who is truly gifted at football. I think Moppy was actually only  just 16 when he broke into the first's squad. He also plays for Kent at U19's level. He has had trials for England boys in the last couple of weeks, and YOU say he is not of Ryman 1 level. OOooh, you are soooo  right!

What is it with jealousy and inadequacy that send grown men (or growing) into such a frenzy of envy that they have to slate the very idols they can only look up to? YOu are football fans! Support football and stop being so petty! You keep watching and dreaming boyz.......... Wink

Was I at the same game last night? Most people on that touchline thought Matt Hollyoak had a great first half. Cant, comment too much on the second half as he was away in the fog on the far side.
