Once again, another pretty decent squad. Good luck lads  Wink

Just one question though - why is Parkesy playing for Ressies? Is it because he's just come back from injury and needs match practice or is it because of his England U-18 Trials?

From what I heard, they lost 2-0 in front of a huge crowd of 18?!

I counted around 30 there. And were one nil down when i left. Horley were a strong team. Very hot day, and didn't make the best of our chances unfortunately. Hopefully Keva will give us a decent match report.

Parksey looked like he had a black eye. I hear he got a broken nose on the first day of his England trial. Hopefully it didn't hamper the trial. He was fine today, commanding the midfield.  Smiley

Hi all,

I was at Longmead on saturday to see the reserves battle very hard in
the sweltering heat against Horley.
The scoreline certainly did not reflect our performance as we were the
brighter of the two sides, but is was just one of those days that we know
all too well. The Angels created chance upon chance (in the second half)
but that ball would just not go over the line.A mixture of toblorone boots and
some very good defending from Horley.Their number 3 looked the full show
and their keeper did not drop a thing all day,not to mention the cannon he had
on the end of his right boot!! boy could he kick a ball.
Some bright performances from the Angels,Matt Hollyoak steaming up and
down the right wing all day (till he was subbed off) finding acres of space,if only
someone would pass to him. Also Phil Cramp had a very busy game and got
in behind them a number of times. Our keeper had nothing to do all afternoon
apart from picking the ball out of the net twice.
All in all many more positives than negatives in very difficult conditions.

cheers
Neil
