Same England team?
« on: Thursday, 13 September, 2007, 08:44.31 »

I think the current starting XI have "earned the shirt" and deserve to be kept faith with (until they lose embarrasingly and we can all go back to moaning again)  Wink This means the likes of Rooney, Lampard, Hargreaves etc warming the bench at best. What do you think?

I've gotta agree with you there - in these last two games they've all been fantastic. Why change it? Gareth Barry and Emile Hesky have done so well, it would be unfair and wrong for McClaren to drop them.

Gary Neville, Owen Hargreaves, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and David Beckham will all have to settle for places on the bench.

Great performance, same team for next match.
FWIW, looking a very typical qualify\ quarter finals at best England. Hope I'm wrong and they go all the way, but  don't have the tactical no how and play when they come up against the 'technicians' (Germany , Italy etc.) That kind of team \ play against those kind of sides on that stage = loss.  Grin Saying that I'm sure he woudn't play Heskey and Owen together against the big boys in Europe.
