There is a report in The Eastbourne Herald which says rumours are that Storey is on £500 a week.  Huh

What business would it be of theirs then ?

Perhaps Anthony should broadcast a rumour that the journalist who wrote the article is earning £10,000 per week just to balance things up.

Where is this article anyway ?

Can't find it on the paper's web site.

I doubt very much that Stoz is on anywhere near that amount!

I thought he was really good yesterday, but without knowing the going rate for players in this division, that does seem a bit of an wild estimate.

This is the sort of stuff that is banded about on a regular basis by those who envy others.

The facts don't really come into it and neither should they.

For many years we have struggled to provide our managers with a decent players budget.

It's great that others are envious of us and this sort of publicity is free.

I don't think the Angels pay that sort of money to anyone!

But try that Blue Square Southern club 21 miles up the A21 towards London, then yes, but not the Angels!

Calm down! It was a sports editorial piece following an interview with Eastbourne Town's manager who has no wage budget for their first season in Ryman Div 1 South. The manager has said that his player's had to play for the love of the club and not for money. The piece then went on to say how some clubs paid over the top amounts for some players and said that it was rumoured Storey was on £500 a week.

As long as the budget is managed well, does it matter?  Huh

It doesn't matter, I just thought it was interesting to see how TAFC is viewed elsewhere - clearly as a club with a big budget!
