Carey M.O.M for me but then I am biased in that I am of the Barnes wide right school.
Thought that once again Beales was brilliant and that when Cramp is fit I am glad I dont have to decide who plays and who doesn't.

Bit worried about Warren's confidence, many negative comments in the crowd today, which by the way  was excellent considering the Ashes fever, but the facts are that at this point in time he could not score in Bangkok.

Apparently Luke had a problem with a veruka operation. Hopefully not too serious.

Any comments ?

And in your experience, how easy or difficult is that?  Huh

Accomplished performance by the lads. Horsham were a very good outfit and will be up nearer the top end of the table, for sure. They had the better of the possession throughout the match and always looked capable of scoring. Czanner did well apart from one rush of blood to the head. Razor again was awesome, especially for the free-kick leading to the handball, for Dobla's pen. Beales and Aris solid as usual. Jon Heath had an excellent game, IMO. Their winger was by far their best player, I thought and Jon handled him brilliantly. Lee Carey oozes class. Great finish for his debut goal. Barnesy absolutely ran the show. Hambley did well. Can't remember him losing a header all game. Dobla did well in patches but still needs to learn to zip it sometimes. Still, at least it shows his commitment and passion for TAFC. Leroy had a good game and took his goal well. Warren is gradually improving and should of have at least two goals to his name today. One effort went slightly over the bar and another one-on-one went wide, grazing the outside of the post. I'm sure once one goal goes in, loads more will follow. Special well-done to Bert too, who came on midway through second half in a midfield role. Thought he did brilliant when he came on. Although still lacking pace, he looked cool and battled well. Despite recent negative comments by members of the crowd, including myself, he responded excellently, playing just like the good old Bert. Jay May also came on.

So, all-in-all a good day's work. Maybe, just maybe, this could be our year to go onto 1st Round Proper?! Cheesy

Solid team performance today against Horsham, who will not be the worst side to appear at Longmead this season, creating a fair amount of chances.

I thought the 2 best players were Barnes and Carey, showing commitment and dedication  to the cause, Leroy had one of his better games as did Powell, whilst Warren, unfortunately, still hasn't found that cutting edge.

Today's attendance was around 460. Not bad for the start of the season, F.A. Cup fever seems to have struck already.  Mind you Horsham brought along a fair amount of support, and loud too, especially in the bar afterwards! Smiley

One thing that annoys me, apart from Dolby mouthing off, is why when say a punch is thrown or a bad tackle is made, does every single player rush to the incident to get involved - pointless.  Angry

Having got over this potential banana skin, next stop is Ramsgate. Only 10 odd matches till the final. Grin

What a wealth of talent there'll be in the squad when Smith and Cramp are fit!! Smiley

... and rightly so. We won yesterday because of our midfield - Carey and Barnes were involved in everything and Hambley's guile and aerial ability gave the other two more time to work their stuff. How does Danny Lye get into the team on Monday after that performance?
