Today the Angels 18's played Thamesmead Under 18's in a double header at Bayliss Avenue. Having already lost the cup final to Thamesmead the Angels had a point to prove to themselves today and played very well in both games in difficult conditions. Both games ended 0-0, but were still both entertaining with Tonbridge shading the first game and totally dominating the second. Tonbridge squandered many chances, Josh Stanford was denied a couple of times by good goalkeeping, Jack Maddams thumped one against the post, centre back John Hampson headed just over and Ashley Dann screwed a left shotted wide.
One of those days today, still one league game to go. The lads have played very well at the back end of the season. Thursday night against Lewisham Youth at Greatness Park, Sevenoaks.
