Banstead on Tuesday
« on: Sunday, 21 August, 2005, 20:12.08 »

I guess we can expect a very low crowd at Banstead on Tuesday. Last season they had an average home gate of 187 with a low of 41......

With an earlier kick off time i think it will be harder for the Angels fans to travel to there and be on time.  Sad Why is it an early kick off?

wonder if that 187 avergae included thousands from AFC Wimbledon. If so it would have been a lot lower. Could almost be a home game.

JAne -the home club can set the kick off time (within reason)
many years ago all evening games kicked off at 7.30 it all changed due to the telly

Indeed, without their home fixture with AFC Wimbledon, their home average is just 90!! In fact, only 8 times did they manage to get a crowd of over 100. Only had one attendance of over 200, and that was against Bromley, one of the best supported teams in that league.

Possibly with an earlier kick-off time and on a Tuesday evening, we can expect a very low gate, probably below 100. Seems like it's another Leyton visit all over again...... Cheesy

I think an earlier kick-off will be alot easier for many travelling Angels fans as it gives them a chance to return home alot earlier. I know Samairpics is travelling by train and he told me on Saturday it would be so much easier for him as train times returning from that area are few and far between.

I was thinking of 'working'  Angels fans, sorry to have confused you  Roll Eyes.  It's not the best of journeys to have to make etc.

Banstead aint that far away though, JM. Just up M25. Roughly 32 miles I think, which should only take around 45mins. The 'working' Angels fans could leave at 6.30pm and make it to the ground comfortably in time for kick-off.

Well, I don't mind driving up but whats the point if you have a free taxi service?! Common sense innit...

Only Liverpool on TV. Would rather watch Angels gain 3 points.
