Yes, it was an awful team performance but Bert and Hambley stood out as being particularly poor.

Agreed, Haughton was uninterested.

I actually thought Jay May was one of the better players on the pitch today. Won most things in the air and capped it off with a superb finish. He along with Barnesy and Razor were the only ones worth mentioning. Bealesy and Chopper were both solid and did well.

Bert is coming in for some unfair criticism. He may not be back to the great player he has been, but he started to show some of his old touches today.

He was better today than he has been in the pre season and, lets hope he continues to improve.

The Fleet goal may have come from a cross from the left, but come on, it was down to J.J to stop the chance which he handled badly.

I can see what you mean Pete, and thanks. But i have always been a Bert 'supporter' and it is hard to change my ways. I see him as an 'anchor' and not as is being suggested...

People will now be calling for Doblas head, as Manager, if not as a player. I have always supported him as a Manager as his heart is in the team. And as a Player as he gives 100%. I might not be at home matches but i still have friends in football. And a lot of them are asking now - if Dobla should go???

Opinions?  Huh

Definitely NOT. Cannot believe people are calling for his resignation after just one game where we did not perform to the standard we know we can?!

Dobla may not be the player he used to be but I think he can still do a job.

Dobla to stay as player/manager, IMO.

I would imagine that if there are calls for him to go they would be based on his other 50+ games he has managed us for as well, not just one match.

What I mean to say is that should we have won today, would this question have been asked?

But, Angels did not win. And were lucky to have 'scraped' a last minute 3 min + injury time goal. If nothing else - Fleet must have been gutted.....

And it is about the first game of the season , the friendlies and the previous season. That is why opinions are being sought...... Undecided

A few points for consideration.

1.  They were the better side, played the football (not long ball) don't know where you'e comming from there Gazza.

2. With regard to comments about their keeper. We could'nt get the ball in order to put him under pressure so I can't quite understand the comment.

3. We have a problem on both wings at this time but our worst problem is lack of pace up front. Ray Powell proved today in the few chances hew had that he will trouble defenders at this level with his pace. Nick Barnes has shown that he can play wide right and did so to great effect in his earlier spell with us under Walker.
Help! am I the only person that can see this. Please Tony put Nick on the right side and play RAZOR up front
