I can confirm that this game has been postponed due to waterlogged pitch.
I will let you have the revised date for the game as soon as possible.

Bright sunshine outside now with a light breeze. Surely someone could've been working on the pitch this afternoon and it would've been alright later? Perhaps even delaying the kick off til 8.30pm or something??

Nothing p*sses me off more!!! tickedoff

I assume the referee was confident enough that a pitch inspection later today would give the same decision. It is certainly a bright sunny day today but it really did chuck down enough last night for the pitch to be unable to recover.

To be fair we have been mostly lucky with fixtures getting played this season (especially at home) and I suspect with the footy on the telly tonight we will get a larger crowd for the re-arranged fixture than we would have had today.

As for the 8.30pm thing, this tie could potentially have gone to extra time and penalties and I don't suppose the Ramsgate support would have fancied travelling back at 11pm or later!
