Scholes retired because he was shunted to the left to accomodate Lampard and Gerrard, we miss him very much.
Who would I want in charge? My dream replacement would be Wenger, he'll get us playing the right way.
At the time of chosing though I wanted Gus Hiddink or Otmar Hitzfeld but would the public want a German. Both quality coaches.

From the main choices we had when Steve McClaren was appointed coach, i'd have loved to see Sam Allardyce in charge. Although maybe he plays 'boring' tactics with Bolton, i'd have still loved to see him be the gaffer

Not sure a change of manager will make us any better. That goal pretty much seperated teh two sides.. do we have anyone that can score a goal like that at that level? hmmm
The way we play it is always going to be difficult for us to get further than the quarters or semis.
If I had to pick a new manager I would have a continental influence...
Wenger, Wilkins, Venables, Benitez, Mourhino... someone who has had experince with both English and continental, but not a Scandinavian! God I hate Scandinavian football.
Would it make a difference, probably not.

neville/neville - Past it
crouch - good, but not good enough
richards/barton/barry/dyer/foster - really good plays need more games

i think swp should never, EVER start an england game, his pace should be used after 70 mins when he can skin defenders and bring it into the box

barry and downing would be awesme on the left wing, with over lapping runs

Crouch shouldnt be in the england squad, he isnt good enough (but that ref blatantly had it in for him from the start) te hee

Once El Tel has fed the muppet McClaren enough duff information to get him canned. He'll be along on his white charger to save the day with Beckham at his side.Or am i being cynical? crazy2
