vs chelmsford
« on: Monday, 22 January, 2007, 16:49.16 »

interesting to see what people think will happen tomorrow night, scores and lineup, e.t.c

i would have a go at guessing a line up but my last one one was a wee-bit far fetched so ive given up guessing the team.

I think if we lose tomorrow night it will be terrible, not only because i hate to see the angels lose, but because after saturday i think a loss on a cold tuesday night will prompt even more booing and cursing from the part-time fans that may get the players so down-hearted that we start to drop towards the relegation battle

Anyone suspended?

If not this is my guess (not my suggestion!)...
                      Kerr
Gooding-Beales-Aris-Green
Barnes-Kember-O'Brien-Logan
                Powell-Main
Subs: Parkes, Piscina, Maxwell, Power + one from Cramp/Dolby/O'Neill

My suggestion would be:
                          Kerr
    Powell-Beales-Aris-Green
Gooding-Kember-Parkes-Logan
                 Piscina-Main
Subs: O'Brien, Barnes, Maxwell, Power, O'Neill

interesting youv'e gone for lukey up front dan, i just cant see us scoring that much with two forwards who's main attack is to run behind defenders, hard to say who i'd prefer him too be up front with, you never know though, it may just work

I agree it is disgraceful to boo the players when they lose to decent sides like Bromley & Billericay Chelmsford. knuppel2 knuppel2 knuppel2 knuppel2 knuppel2 police police police police police knuppel2 knuppel2 knuppel2 knuppel2

But I am not very confident about tomorrow, Chelmsford are a decent side and the pitch is a complete pudding which doesn't help us either.
 Sad Angry Sad

But as long as they try their best I will be (relatively) happy even if we lose.

i think thats the key, trying, any team get's down hearted, even the margate's and wimbledon's, its just a case of when, if the 11 men on the pitch are trying their hardest and really giving 110% i wont complain that much, and will be dissapointed if anyone does.

At the end of the day, we've shown that we can pretty much beat any one in this league with a bit of luck and lots of effort, all we need(in my opinion) is a bit of variety when going forward, and if the midfield continue to play the high ball forward, a bit more willingness to jump and get it,

i agreer about the pitch though, 4 home games in 11 days with bad weather wont help any playing surface

Good grief  ... I agree with AaronAngel!

We were luck enough not to hear any booing from 'supporters' on Saturday.

There are too many persons who feel they can do a better job than the existing Management .. and Players.
No doubt if they were to take over the mantle we would see a great change in the league position, in player attitude .. and a change in man-management skills.
None for the better, I am sure.

At the beginning of the season I would have given hairs off my head to be where we are now.

Personally I think it would be a disaster if we were to move up a division.
Ideally we will get into the play-offs (and lose) so I can watch a few more games of my beloved Angels, and remain in this division for a further year, at least.

Well done Tony.
Well done Nick and the Management Team.
