Long Suspension.

I see in the local paper that a Bexhill United player has been suspended until 24th. September. Apparently, he was sent off for a bad tackle in a reserve match and then shown another red 2 weeks later in a first team fixture for an attempted headbutt.

i seem to remember a tonbridge player getting a 128 day ban
i think it was mark gillham or ray tumbridge if that was his name
or i could have dreamt it

I can't imagine it being Gilly.He was too nice for that.I remember the name Ray Tumbridge,but don't think i played in the same team as him. Undecided

Ray Tumbridge was one of Burn's big signings in our first season in The Village League. I think that we signed him from Dartford and that he retired after that.

Gilly may have ended up as a centre back,but when i was playing he was a handfull and a half of a centre forward.Signed i believe from High Brooms Casuals.A lovely guy who if anyone has an address for i'd love to contact. Afro

Wasn't sure if it was the same bloke that played for us in the Kent league when we reformed, he used to play centre back for us although was carrying a bit of weight on him. Solid in the tackle and good in the air.
