Can Charlton stay up?

After watching Charlton today, they don't look a bad side.Have they lost too much ground already though, and are they doomed? Afro

From what i've seen of them purely on the tele i would say they are favourites to go down. They just don't seem to have a clue.

Mind you give me non-league footy any day, at least you don't really get any over paid prima donna's who don't deserve their money at this level.

With Les Reed in charge, no chance - Div 1 footy for them next year.

Reed was definately a strange choice, and i agree that non-league players(generally) tend to be playing because they love the game. However surely those years of hard graft to get into the Premiership, then to stabalise as a solid mid-table team, with thoughts of Europe, will all have been in vain if they go down. Why will they not ask Curbishley back. Not a supporter by the way.

I don't honestly think that Curbishley would go back even if he was asked. Im sure that most Charlton supporters have already accepted that it's going to be Coca Cola Championship football for them next season anyway.

To be honest they were never going to be good enough for European football at all were they.

Charlton are quite close to my heart as my old man supports them and I've been to watch them a number of times over the years. When the bookies had them as third-favourites for the drop at tthe start of the season I thought it was just the same old crap, becuase they've been among the favourites for the drop every year they've been in the Premiership and always finish mid-table. I thought there was no way a team with Bent and Hasselbaink up front would go down. Now, all the worst predictions seem to be coming true. There was a bit of fight and spirit to the team against Everton though and next up is a massive game against Sheff Utd. Three points in that one and everything could change - its' still very close down there so I don't think anyone can be written off yet.
