Surely the point is that Jon Heath isn't a left-back so why are we looking to play him there just because he can kick with his left foot. Didn't we make this mistake with Craig Roser (a central midfielder) last season? He is far more effective as a left-sided midfielder and with Razor back the obvious answer is to play with wing-backs (Jon is leading the vote for man of the match by an unprecedented margin for the game he played in that position) and move Piscina back up front. We have the players to suit a 3-5-2 formation and it's a shame we only saw it in one of the friendlies.

Haughton still has not convinced me but as I said earlier he looked a lot sharper yesterday and maybe he is just not the sort of player that is switched on for friendlies - I still prefer Huggins even though his inclination when through on goal is to turn away from the goal again, most frustrating! Jay May is not good enough. Only three players managed more than one goal over the 12 games and of those, two are midfielders, so although we may do well defensively next season we certainly need more creative ideas in front of goal.

50/50 intended.... 2funny

Jon Heath has played left-back before and done very well. Line-up, IMO, should be:

JJ
Powell-Beales-Aris-Heath
Barnes-Lye-Parkes
Piscina-Huggins-Haughton
