Clubs like Arsenal have shown that they don't give a toss about English football,by continually importing players.
Until there is a total rethink on the use of foreign players in the Premiership we as a Country are going to suffer.

Maybe the FA should look at what the old TCCB did for cricket. Restrict the number of overseas players to encourage English players to develop. Given our status now of the second best Test playing nation it looks to have been a sound decision. Once we beat the Aussies in their own backyard, we'll be Number 1 again  Smiley

I think this best sums up England's performance last night and the "progress" made under The Grinning One:

Back to basics..........Apart from an English Football League, which would be my dream.....No less than 3rd generation at least English players across the whole of MY Football League........We can only learn from the foreign teams and players. I believe in 'Exchange Idea's where foreign coaches ect can come in and give us the benefit of thier expertise as we don't have it!

If our England team is the best of the English players then we are severely lacking! Yes, they are good. But, compare each player to a foreign counterpart and what have we got?

Sod the money etc. I want excellent football from the very best players England has to offer. Players that can compete with the rest of the World.

We can learn from the foreigners. That has to be done and taken on board. But, i don't want our English clubs over run by them.

Sorry JM.Once you said:"Sod the money".Your whole package goes out of the window, because thats what it's all about.I don't like to be cynical, but England will qualify because in this day and age, they HAVE to qualify for UEFA to make their championship financially viable. The big teams are important for revenue.England are certs to qualify.Scotland,Ireland(s),Wales.Who cares. They don't sell like England.Sad but true Cry

I meant 'sod the money' as in the demise of the game from the start of the Premiership and BSB. Yes, football is big money but a hell of a lot has been lost from the game. Ok you get some bonuses like seeing the foriegn players on stage. But i want to see them in their own countries teams and not ours.

Your apology is accepted. I do not support any League Team. Despise the Premiership and love Non - League.

It just so happened that my Dad took myself and my brothers to Crystal Palace as our first match approx 38 years ago. I like to wind the seagull poo boyz up every now and then.....And don't get me started on the Gooners! Arse's!!  Shocked

Do you support any 'Club' Hitman?  Huh
