Come on you Blues! I need something to cheer me up after West Ham's bad luck seems to be cursing me  Angry

What you talking about Lewis?  Shocked

Dont worry about that now, we won and are 2nd in the Prem...again! Charlton were just lucky it weren't 10-0

Well done Angels, just the start they needed  Cool

We have Worthing at home on Tuesday night. I don't know the full time score, but at half time Margate were beating them 5-0 !!!  Shocked

team played alright first half
lost a bit of momentum
but midge ure took his goal fairly  well
should have pushed more for a second
but the three points was the most important thing today

A good three points to get us off the mark, Hendon didn't look up to much though, a similar result will do us nicely Tuesday especially if Worthing are as bad as their result suggests  Shocked

A really impressive performance from the lads today, particularly first half where we should've been more than one goal ahead.

Bealesy was solid at the back, whilst Scott Gooding in an unfamiliar right midfield position was very good. Taffy and Mainy up front look very good and are starting to gel nicely.

Like Dan said, Hendon offered very little and never really looked like scoring in all honesty.

Yes we were good BUT we do need to sort out this habit of holding on to a 1-0 lead, we need to establish the advantage over sides early on or stronger sides will punish us for it. Worthing were five down today at half-time and regrouped and scored twice in the second half, if they are in as much disarray Tuesday as comments on their forum suggest they were today we need to kill them off when we get the opportunity.

Any chance of a Man of the Match Poll, Dan? Smiley

Really good 100% effort from the team. The conditions were the major player yesterday I thought. Playing with the wind and slope first half I really thought 1 goal lead woudn't be enough...
Defended really well 2nd half, maybe Hendon didn't look that great and didn't make the most of the slope and strong wind, but I felt we played a big part in that.
