Sorry, don't know Mick's full name, but he has two dogs and always sits with them in the seating stand. We haven't seen him for the last few matches, .... and that is most unusual . Has anyone any news of him please?

Mick Thake has been at every game I've been at since I first went to the old Angel ground in 1968. The dogs have come and gone but Mick has always been there - a true Angel. I can't believe Mick could upset anyone..........

I find it distressing, if reports are true, that Mike isn't welcome at the ground, if it wasn't for the likes of him ,who traipsed round in all weathers years ago, collecting lottery money to raise funds, there wouldn't be a Tonbridge football club now. Well done Mr Chips for bringing Mick's absence to our attention, he has been one of the most loyal supporters the club has had. I hope that if the rumour banning him is correct, whoever made the decision will reconsider. Tonbridge used to be known as a friendly family club, and he and his faithful dogs are part of that family.

I seem to remember that this all came about because of the behaviour of the dogs. If and I repeat if this is the case and the dogs were either a nuisance or a risk to others including children at the ground then he should leave the dogs at home. If not then I agree with all that has been posted on the thread.

I really don't know what is going on here. I have sat alongside Mick and his two dogs for several years now. My 11 year-old grandson sits right in front of the dogs with his friend of the same age and neither has ever had any fear of them. (Even when they were 8 or so years old) The younger dog does not like kids playing football in the space alongside the stands. When these lads kick the ball against the seating where he is quitely watching the game, he gets upset and barks ... big problem!!!! ( Kids are banned from playing football in the ground .... but where are the stewards when this takes place? ) If someone has complained about Mick's dogs, then they should get a life. If someone has complained about Mick's dogs, and they have been banned. ... then I am now complaining that Mick's dogs has been banned, and request that the banning order be rescinded. I feel very, very strongly about this. Will someone of authority who can speak on behalf of the Club please respond in this thread with the Club's current position on this matter please.

Agreed it would be helpful if someone in authority would make a comment on this as long as the reason Mick is no longer attending matches is any of our business.
