I hope you retract that comment when you've calmed down a bit. I don't think anything Portugal did was any worse than what Rooney did but then we all become blind at times like this don't we? Truth is, we never played nearly well enough in this tournament to deserve better than what we got

I'm still completely p*ssed off this morning I'm not even going to talk about the game although the words Cristiano Ronaldo send anger rushing through me.
We could talk and argue about this all day but the bottom line is that Sven wasn't good enough. Could argue that the team possibly was good enough but we'll never know now.
Cheers Sven

Accidentally stepping backwards? In the same way that Danny Lye has a tendency to accidentally step backwards Fact is, he deserved 2 reds - one for the stamp, the other for raising his hands. I'm not defending the provocation, but the way Rooney reacted just underlined his immaturity I'm afraid. He's a great footballer but also, at times, a stupid kid who loses his temper.

At least I normally come across as sane then I just think a stamp's a stamp, regardless of damage inflicted and I think any ref would have viewed that as a deliberate stamp. As for the shove, it's got nothing to do with whether the player goes down or not - your not allowed to raise your hands, it's as simple as that. I don't think the ref had any option. As for Rooney's ability, I'm not questioning that - only that he sometimes lets himself down by not keeping his temper in check. I;m not condoning the Portguese but we all know what they do by now - you have to rise above it.
