I'm sure Braintree and Fisher will let a few players go in a bid to strengthen for Conference South football.

Canvey Island will almost certainly release the majority of their squad after their off the field problems recently. Have heard ex-Folkestone hotshot Allan Tait has been released amongst others.

Lee Protheroe has been released by Gravesend and David Perpetuini has been released by Stevenage.

I think Protheroe may have joined Margate but not 100%. He'd definitely be a decent addition at left-back. Perpetuini, once a regular in the Gills midfield, would also be a good signing. More of a holding/left-sided player than creative though.

Jon Wallis played a few games for Hastings earlier on in the season, seems quite a decent prospect. Young and reasonably versatile - can play on either wing as well as right-back I believe.

What about Grant, he's proved he can hack League One football and although he did nothing against us, maybe we could sign him?

He'll probably return to Tooting I should imagine. He did absolutely nothing against us, in fact seemed very overrated to me. His control was woeful and his finishing was lacklustre when we visited Imperial Fields, not what I had expected from one of the leading goalscorers in the league.

He must have done something to catch the eye of Gills though, but it certainly wasn't against us, Lew Watts had him in his pocket

Gravesend have released Mark Rawle, Bobby Bowry, Justin Skinner, Andy Drury, Jay Saunders and Steve McKimm.

Skinner, although 33 now, a good left-back. Drury can play up top as a striker, just in behind the front two or even on the right-wing. Saunders is a creative midfielder that chips in with a few goals. Wouldn't mind seeing any of these in an Angels shirt. Smiley
